End of Summer Update

New Castle County Republican Committee
September 2009

Dear Friends,

We've had a busy and productive summer of activity across New Castle County, including a strong presence at local community events (see below).  And your leaders have continued to take to the newspapers and airwaves to speak out on important county issues.
Many NCC GOPers were proud to lend a hand to Joe Booth and Ruth Briggs King on their successful campaigns. Congratulations to Joe and Ruth on all their hard work and two impressive, well-deserved victories.

Read on for more updates on our ongoing efforts to grow our Party in New Castle County, and watch this space for details on our Vision for NCC policy brief.

The August Quarterly

The NCC GOP hosted a table at the August Quarterly in Wilmington, one of the African-American Community's major annual events - dating back to 1814.  Click here for a splendid essay by Charlie Copeland on the event's history.
Special thanks to Mary McCrossan for leading our efforts and volunteering throughout the weekend.  Councilman Michael Brown, Charlie Copeland, Rick Carroll and others all spent time engaging attendees and talking up the GOP.

Hispanic Business Association

In August, several GOPers enjoyed mixing with key members of the local Hispanic business community.  HBA President Maria Cabrera generously welcomed us to their big summer social where we met and made many new friends.  We look forward to strengthening our relationship with HBA.
